MODERN GOD
Modern God is a contemporary dance performance created in collaboration with Jeremy Beck and Footnote Dance. Blending movement, sound, and cinematic language, the work explores power, ritual, and identity through a distinctly modern lens. Shot with a focus on texture, rhythm, and physicality, it sits at the intersection of performance and film.
Working alongside Jeremy Beck and Footnote Dance, RDYSTDY contributed to the dramaturgy, visual language, and AV design of Modern God, helping shape the work as both a performance and a system. The show culminated in a live-streamed green screen environment, where six live feeds were composited in real time, creating a shifting, multi-perspective stage. Framed as a response to social media influencer culture, the work explores how identity is constructed, performed, and consumed.
